Neander News Reports: "Danish Imams Busted!"
- It goes beyond a single picture. The breadth of the Danish imams' deliberate, pre-mediated, and bewilderingly extensive lies are documented here.
- David Warren, provides more details (based on a recent Wall Street Jounal article) on the level of duplicity to which the Imam Laban sunk to enhance his reputation among radical Muslims. (h/t Diane at Search)
- Freedom for Egyptians and Sandmonkey show that the cartoons were republished in an Egyptian newspaper on October 17, 2005 with zero public outrage. Sandmonkey asks "Are we all boycotting Egypt now?"
- Iran is having a "contest" for the best Holocaust cartoons? How hilarious! How exactly like the stuff they print in the Arab and Iranian press everyday! Why ask for submissions? Why not run a contest from these funnies that have already been printed in the Arab press?
Neander News is reporting that...
This is one of the "drawings" Imam Ahamad Abu Laban toured the Middle East with, ginning up Muslim outrage, falsely claiming it to be one of the infamous Danish cartoons.
See the previous post for all the bogus cartoons.
Neander News reports:
Danish Imam Ahmad Abu Ladan [sic], leader of The Islamic Society of Denmark, toured the middle east to create awareness of supposed anti-Islamic cartoons and included the above black and white photo as well as two other undocumented examples. Akhmad Akkari, spokesman of the tour, explained that the three drawings had been added to “give an insight in how hateful the atmosphere in Denmark is towards Muslims.”
Akkari claimed he does not know the origin of the three pictures. He said they had been sent anonymously to Danish Muslims. However, when Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet asked if it could talk to these Muslims, Akkari refused to reveal their identity.
